Your adventure begins with a drive to Oxford, a city steeped in over 900 years of academic tradition. Walk past iconic colleges, libraries, and quadrangles where scholars, writers, and leaders have studied. From the medieval Radcliffe Camera to the Gothic spires of the Bodleian Library, Oxford’s architecture is a visual timeline of English history. If you’re a literature fan, you’ll also discover links to J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and Harry Potter.

Leaving the city behind, we’ll head into the peaceful countryside of the Cotswolds. Rolling green hills and golden-stone villages set the scene as we wind through quiet lanes and farmland. Expect postcard-worthy towns and tucked-away gems that coach groups often overlook, giving you a more personal experience of rural England.

Around midday, we stop for a hearty meal at a traditional country pub — the perfect chance to relax in a welcoming atmosphere and enjoy classic British fare. (Please note: meals are not included in the tour price.)

The afternoon takes us deeper into the Cotswolds, where you’ll have time to explore villages such as Burford, Bibury, or Stow-on-the-Wold. Each offers its own unique character, from historic wool churches to honey-coloured stone cottages and bustling market squares.

By late afternoon, we’ll begin the return journey, taking in more scenic countryside views before arriving back in London or Heathrow.
